Channel 195 on your TV – some of you love it for the musical background it provides and frequently refer to it for information about what’s going on and what’s coming up at Plymouth Harbor, while some of you hardly know it exists.

That’s all about to change – for the better!

Plymouth Harbor has contracted with Touchtown, a leading provider of in-house TV and digital signage, to provide improved communication with you through your television set. Instead of the white-text-on-blue-background that exists now, Channel 195 will bring you up-to-date information on activities, dining menus, trips, programs, classes, weather reports, and announcements with gorgeous full color graphics. You’ll continue to enjoy the background music as before.

And here’s a new feature for those with vision loss — at specified times, the background music will pause and there will be audio narration of the information on the screen. So if you’re having trouble seeing it, you’ll be able to hear it.

Look for it starting in February.
