With an emphasis on open space and light, our residences have views of downtown Sarasota, Sarasota Bay, or the Gulf of Mexico.

At Plymouth Harbor, you choose the residence option that works for you, and that suits your needs. Selections include one or two bedrooms, with or without balconies in the central tower high-rise, as well as one or two bedrooms in one of the mid-rise Garden areas to the north and west of the central tower. Plymouth Harbor has 218 independent living residences for a convenient and maintenance-free way of life.

Our Neighborhoods

With a tip of the hat to its original namesake, Plymouth Harbor features “colonies” that encourage a close-knit feeling. Every three floors in the Tower share an open atrium and balcony to form one of these neighborhood colonies. Each one of these colonies has its own association for gatherings and maintenance. The entire group of colonies gathers frequently for community-wide programs, social events, and volunteer projects.

As part of the governance of the Resident Association, resident representatives from each colony come together every month in the larger Resident Association board to review and report on issues or concerns related to their living environment.

Plymouth Harbor’s Northwest Garden building houses 30 one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments collectively known as the Seaside Residences. Here, we emphasize a holistic approach, supporting resident independence by celebrating individuality and treating people with dignity.

The monthly fee includes the following:

• Local phone services
• Dining plan
• Nursing and personal care services
• Housekeeping and linen service
• 24/7 Emergency nurse call system

Memory Care – The Starr Residences

Plymouth Harbor’s Northwest Garden building houses 30 memory care units collectively known as the Starr Residences. Divided into two neighborhoods — Lido and Ringling — the Starr Residence was designed using the latest information on dementia care and environmental aesthetics and is staffed by Care Partners who are all CNAs with extensive dementia-related training.

The monthly fee includes the following:
